Lisa is it that the back and pelvis are sore? Or is it more it's difficult to walk or?
I actually found when I first started my treadmill mission that it was sooooo hard to walk fitness wise and it seemed so hard for my body in general!
Make sure you do a quick leg warmup (stretches) and try to walk at a decent (not too slow, not too fast, I find usually between 5kmh-6kmh is a good speed, obviously as we get fitter we can walk faster for longermaybe try my mission, to ultimately do 2km in 15mins? I started not being able to finish in 25mins, and 2.5mos later I was at 15! It's amazing how fast your cardiovascular fitness can increase with persistence and determination

Gem - nope, it is that my back starts to absolutely kill me after about 3 mins at 3.5. I'm just planning to do more sessions until my back & pelvis get used to it. I suffered terribly from SPD when pregnant with Noah, then 10 times worse with DS2. This is a massive reason why I am the weight I am today as my back & pelvis are just so bad, but now the extra weight doesn't help - vicious cycle. Urgh. I'm preserving though. As Michelle says, if you can't exercise make sure your diet is really clean. I'll just have to be extra vigilant with my diet until my body catches up.

Ahh bummer Lisais there any way you can go swimming or do aquarobics of some sort? Even if it's only once a week, its still exercise!

I'm not sure if the warm up tasks were just for those days/weeks before the start of preseason. I think people could sign up earlier than they have been able to before. Weren't they things like drinking more water? I've never seen them mentioned before this round though so not sure.
AFM I just wanted to come in and let you girls know that this program works. I've officially lost 40kgs in 2 rounds of the 12wbt and I'm back to lose the last 38kgs and hoping to do that this year. I'm pretty happy to have gotten as far as I have in such a short time the healthy way, but I honestly don't feel 40kgs lighter until I see pics. It will come with time and they say your head takes a while to catch up.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that any weight loss goal you might have. You just have to put your mind to it.
Looking forward to seeing how you all go this round.
I've been reading your blog for weeks and only just put two and two together that you are Niadalla
It's always great to hear from more people who have had success with the program.
The warm up tasks were to keep people interested prior to pre-season i think (for those doing the first round).
There was; change one diet an exercise habitl, halve your non water intake, 'do' 30kms in a week, diarise your food intake daily for a week, write yourself a meal schedule.
FWIW I didn't do any of them only started when pre-season did and am doing ok.
I really am missing my chocolate. More than anything. Soft drinks and other crap was easy, i do feel the lack of milk a bit but mostly okay, chocolate is a mjor temptation for me but as i keep telling myslef, chocolate will never taste as good as skinny feels. I am doing my inspiration boards tonight but so tired. Did my first 1000cals yesterday and today have spent all day on ym feet with housework, so im so exhausted. Can't wait to do my first official weigh in on wednesday and get the week 1 plan on thursday and kick off. I am feeling so positive.
I am starting to drop things today. I haven't really started yet. I have now decided to just start!. Get my but into gear and committ! My biggest issue will be giving up coffee I think. Especially at work. I really need to stop driking instant cause that's when I need sugar in my coffee. At least when I have one at home it's got no sugar. Anyway, I'm going to try and cut back rather than completely cut it out. I don't think I can live without my coffee![]()
Dragon Cookie - I had BIG chocolate withdrawals my first round. I suggest trying Jarrah hot chocolates. Make them up with just water. They are very low calorie and the occasional one seems to curb my cravings for chocolate. I know the first few I had really didn't taste all that nice, but as my taste buds changed the hot chocolates really hit the spot. There are also protein bars that may be of help. (and thanks for reading my blog!)
I've been drinking nearly 3 litres of water for the last few days and as a result I slept really well last night (once I got to sleep). I'm going to start back walking again this week (I've been off due to an overuse injury) and hopefully in about 3 weeks I can get back into netball. I miss my exercise!!
Really determined to do well this round. I know I'll have to occasional slip up but if I can keep those under control and just continue along the clean eating path, they shouldn't be too much of an issue.
I overcome my chocolate cravings by smelling cocoa. A huge percent of taste is in the smell of food - strange but true - and I find cocoa gets rid of the craving and there is no temptation as raw cocoa isn't very nice! Lol.
I love Ovaltine Light Break also but I will compare it to the Jarrah's to see which has the least calories. Just had a quick look on Calorie King and looks like Jarrahs are my new choc drink of choice! Lol.
I made my first change today (besides the ones I have already done) I have started getting up 1hr earlier to get some exercise in while the kids are still sleeping. It was great but I was shattered around 10am! Lol. Of course the girls were full of beans and wanting to play and be crazy. Lol.

Did my fitness test today. I'm not that fit lol. I think I could do 1km a lot faster if I wasn't in work clothes and the ground was flat, I reckon I'll fix that at the four week check. I suck at push up so bad lol, I'll be practicing those like crazy!
Can't wait to get the meal plans, I really need good healthy food ideas, our meals are getting so boring!
I'm finding there is really no motivation like the scales. Last week the numbers were dropping and it was so exciting, no way did I want to ruin it! But Saturday was a crappy day, I couldn't exercise and then we caved and had pizza for dinner. Scales on Sunday weren't happy lol. But it just made me think the pizza wasn't worth it, and getting in at least some exercise really is worth it. Back on the wagon now and feeling good
How's everyone else doing with today's task?
Sent from my GT-P7510
I haven't done the fitness test yet. Im struggling to find a 1km route! Im playing on mapmy run trying to devise something that lands me back at home for the rest and then i will smash it out tomorrow.
i also commit to finishing the organise task tomorrow as well as it is currently incomplete.
i also cant wait for the recipes as im really stuck for meals and havent been prepping for the week very well at all.
Right, I'm signed up and ready to do this!
Welcome Aimz!!
I haven't done my fitness test yet. I might do it on Saturday morning. I've got a 1km track I normally follow.
Got a couple of preseason tasks to get my teeth into tomorrow to catch up and I better drink a TONNE of water because I've not done so today. Naughty me.
I was really slack on my water intake this week N and I had a lesser loss which was a bit disappointing.
I have set my 4week mini as 1000 steps. Not sure how ill arrange it yet, if husband will come with or if I will PT it the 2.5hrs there and back (o.O) but got 4 weeks to figure it out.
Then my 8 week is a little early and I have signed up for and paid Run Melbroune 5km - my first fun run wooohooo. Doubt my hubby is going to be impressed as im going to have to drag him everywhere or put DD on a bottle occassionally. I dont think the second will happen.
Im annoyed as I have one helluva sore throat and i am craving milk for it so badly. I am going to struggle to drink water and fight the desire for flavoured milk until it goes away.
Oh, I did my fitness test. Smashed the 1km with 7m40s which I was stoked with as I was expecting close to 10mins.
The others were all as I expected, very low - but more room for improvement.
Im also off to the gym tomorrow to sign up and then i will diarise properly over the weekend with my new timetable. Yeeha.
Dragoncookie - I will do the 1000 steps with you! I have done them a few times now and they are my fitness benchmark. It's HARD work but you can stop as often as you need. Each time I go it gets that little bit easier.
I'd love to do it with you!
And if you just get yourself to Melbourne I will drive us![]()
SO, the meal and exercise plans are now open for week one, but so many people must be accessing the site that I can't get on!! Crazy!!
I'm looking forward to seeing if the meals plans have changed much.
I looked at the fitness test and freaked out. I've been resting my very sore back for 2 days now and have no idea how I'm going to walk 1 km. It will probably take me an hour!

I'm in but it's very slow. Trying to figure out a way to get the plan downloaded onto my iPad.
Excited and so motivated.
