I have my weight in my ticker and I take get pleasure in changing it as weight comes off and also changing the number of kilos that I have to lose. Big motivator
BellaBambina: That's exactly what got me motivated in the first place . Seeing other BB girls with their weight loss in their sig and watching them lose more and more. It made me see that, yes in fact it can be done - these girls did it, so can I!

    Wouldloveabub- thats a great idea.

We could also add in tasks like
-30min walk each day (as you said)
-complete 50 situps each day. DOnt have to do them all at once. Just through the day.
-NO take out food for a week

    etc.
OOh those are great ideas, definitely need a little push up the rear end to help me get things done.

I'm in the 40kg to lose place I guess - I would suppose that being in the 60's would be nice.. ROFL

I have 30 kgs to lose to be happy....and 50 to lose to be in a healthy range

Someone asked about the scales on the Wii - I've found that if you have the Wii on carpet or floating floors, you can get one measurement, and then move the board and get a completely different measurement. So if you keep the board in the exact same place it would work, but if not it might be better to buy some scales. That's what I'm gonna do anyway

The mini challenges sound great! Although I'm not sure I can cope with no takeaway for a week...

I'm the same - Tuesday's is order in lunch at school - rotating between Vietnamese (fortnightly) and Japanese, Afghan, Indian and something else which I can't recall atm. They're more in the healthy take away range - not a huge amount of oil etc ... do you think I could get away with it

Small tasks sound like a good idea.

Berenice, I found the opposite with the Wii for weighing. I discovered my bathroom scales added an extra 2kg after I weighed myself on the Wii for the first time. The tiles just had to be ever so slightly off and it would give me another weight. With the Wii balance board, I put on the extra feet you get and weighed on the carpet and hard floor and got the same. I loved it when the Wii told me I was 2kg lighter than what my scales told me so I'm sticking with that

    Mini tasks sound awesome

I think I'll just stick with the balance board for weigh ins. We have pretty flat wood floorboards so it should be ok.

Thank you girls for your support in the Mini Tasks suggestion

It makes me feel like I can suggest something that everyone likes, and thinks is a good idea.

Especially when my self esteem is low in other areas

It's nice to be out of my comfort threads and meeting new BB members (to me)

I don't know about you guys but I am really excited!!! What is the mini-task for the first week? I am happy to let others guide that area and I can just concentrate on the numbers

I'm pumped to and raring to go. I'm ready for our first first mini task and the Wii challenges for those subbed to that one as well.

The last time I did sit ups I was in agony for days but if that's the challenge then bring it! I will warn you now that I can't run, just can't, never have, although I can run on the spot so that may have to do if we get to that.

I had a tummy bug 2 weeks ago and I lost 2kg down to a weight that I haven't been in over 10 years....I think I will be a bit sad to see the reality when I weigh in tomorrow since I have eaten just about all the Easter eggs in the house. Oh well.

Look at me, I'm rambling with all this excitement. I just hope I stay on target but I know you girls will be here slogging it out with me. Woot!

ok... it seems I am being roped into this challenge *stares at Sibbie* hahahah.

I want to lose 8kg. Am joining the gym.. and starting zumba classes next week! hahahaha

Snacking is my downfall more than anything. And I need to drink more water and add more fresh fruit & veg.. I'm a bit of a carb-aholic I would much prefer to get pregnant and have another 2yrs of breastfeeding to get the weight off.. but that doesn't seem to be happening (hoping a health kick might help in this area!).. so here I am

For anyone interested in weight training exercises & routines.. DH introduced me to an iphone app called iFitness (I think that's what it's called... I'll double check later ) which I'll be checking out more thoroughly.

Mwuhahahahahahah I got you Liz !!! This will keep us motivated!!!!!

ETA: Was going to say - why don't we start with something fairly simple for the mini-task... Like the drinking 2L water one? That might ease everyone into it
