Cheished, knee injuries are terrible, I really feel for you. Take it easy until your op (and after of course ). Once you get your knee sorted out you can worry about getting strong and fit again and ijn the meantime good luck with keeping your food on track. Noone will think badly of you for pulling the pin on this challenge! :hugs:

AFM, weighed in at 72kg which is a 600g loss again and makes it 3.4kg in total. I am a little disappointed as I really wanted to see 71 at the start of my weight but I guess I will just have to wait till next weigh in for that. On the plus side it really wasn't a great week food wiseand I still had a loss. Mum was staying with us so DH and I went out a couple of times for dinner, and I had too many flat whites and lunches out and about with mum and the kids.
I also did my measurements this morning and my waist is down to 74cm, that is 7cm smaller than a month ago. Have only dropped 4cm off my bum so far but at least it is moving.
Did the new ab class at the gym this morning. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting so will do it again next week. Increased my weights for pump too, and am doing as much as the instructor for most tracks so am feeling pretty hard core atm .

    Hi Ladies,
Would you mind if I joined in as at the moment I am struggling with my weight loss and my new Doc at repromed will not do a IVF cycle with me until I can show her I have changed my lifestyle and lost weight. I am currently sitting at 111.4kg and really need to get down to 100kg before she will be convinced. I have lost 4.4kg in 3 weeks but starting to get lazy with my walking. I try to walk around 3km a night if I can.
    Please help

hi all. I had another rubbish, emotional week this week with no exercise and too much chocolate cake. I did manage a pilates class, thankfully and she worked my butt off. I'm surprised to discover I have still lost 200g, so I'm pleased about that. Now if I could actually get out of the house more and try harder, I might make this happen. I haven't done a run in a week. My next goal is to fit into the jeans I'm currently wearing without the zip sliding down when I sit. A couple of kg should do it, I think. At least I can get into them now.

btw - when do people weigh themselves? I always do it first thing in the morning before breakfast and getting dressed. I forgot and got dressed this morning and weighed myself, then got undressed and weighed myself again. Jeans weigh heaps! Even the bra added 100g. So I'm making sure I'm nekkid on the scales from now on.

Cherished -that sucks about your knee. Don't beat yourself up. It's hard when you have an injury. Also the pain is hard to tolerate. Google Callanetics - it's an exercise program created by a ballet dancer who injured her/his knee. There's a lot of tensing and releasing small muscles and you can do a lot with a fitball, a chair and a mat - all from home. I bought DVDs on it ages ago but as they were such low quality production, never kept it up. You may be able to find some new ones or even find a class in your city. Though there aren't many - it's more popular in South Africa. Alternatively, you could look at clinical pilates with an injury/rehabilitation trained physio. Watching what you eat can also make a big difference. I once badly injured my neck and stopped me training (I was training intensively then) and as per my normal way of coping, I ate rubbish.

ETA - another "at home" low impact exercise type I just googled is called T-Tapp. It seems similar to callanetics. There seem to be a fair bit on youtube for testimonials

I weigh myself at the gym. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to get naked especially since the scales are in the lounge area which isn't really an appropriate place to be naked.

I weighed myself this morning. I don't think there is a change since last week - still 64kg. On a good note, the weird 1kg that 'appeared' a couple of days ago after all my exercise has disappeared again

Yes checked in that I was starting couch to 5k - no actual weight, but didn't think that really mattered - I thought it was about keeping motivated?

Sorry ausgirl, didn't leave you off intentionally. I took up all posts from wednesday night onwards, as Thursday is supposed to be our check in day.

And yup, all about motivation. I think what you're doing is great, as I said to you earlier in the week, I cannot run to save myself!

Have you tried some of the shaping underwear? That may help fit into a special dress.
