I had a choc mint shake for brekky, some grapes for morning tea, asian curry soup and a TF munch bar for lunch, some more grapes and a couple of rice crackers and low fat dip for afternoon tea and 2 lamb cutlets with notatoes for dinner. Panadol is helping my headache a little, but I'm off to bed soon to sleep the rest of it off.
So overall I think I did pretty well, how are you going?
did you like the choc mint? i don't think i got that one!
So far i have had cafe latte (yuck) and strawberries and cream (not bad). i think the fibre that i add to it is making it grainy.
Yesterday i had the shake for breaky, the munch bar and a salad for lunch, an egg for arvo tea and for dinner i had savoury mince on 1 piece of toast and a cuppa tea after dinner (eek i have been bad and have replaced my morning coffee with a cup of tea once the girls are in bed of a night time)
I wanted to hold of weighing myself for the whole week but weighed my self this morning and im disappointed to say the least, only 800grams lost so far maybe this isn't going to work for me.
Are you doing any exercise?
How is your headache this morning? mine is gone. I am going to try and drink alot more water today
do you think it matters if we don't have a shake and a munch bar every day?
for example today i have had... breakfast 1/2 munch bar (find them very full filling) a handful of grapes for morning tea, lunch has been 1 tuna and avocado sushi roll, and dinner is going to be chicken and salad
how did the soup taste? did you have any bread with it?
Are there any non-sweet shakes? I only want to lose 3kg or so but know that in the coming months as we get used to getting out the door for an 8.30 kindy start I'm in danger of skipping brekkie so am thinking of perhaps having a shake but I'm not a sweet tooth at all.
I can't skip brekkie as I just end up going out somewhere which is way more calories (and money).
no worries
unfortunally most are sweet, however in saying that the cafe latte one didn't taste sweet, it tasted yuck LOL and the strawberries and cream was okay and not sweet tasting either, well not very sweet tasting
I wasn't a fan of the choc mint, but I had the mocha one this morning, warmed up, it was delicious. I don't think they're overly sweet. The soup that I had yesterday was actually quite nice.
I think I'll keep having the shakes in the morning, cos I'm not a big brekky eater, so they're perfect for me I don't add the fibre too them though.
The only exercise I'm doing is on the wii fit and zumba on PS3 (but that's a great workout). I haven't weighed myself yet though.
Fionas - I don't find the shakes overly filling but they'd be good if you're in a rush and having a healthier morning tea a little later on.
PP i don't eat breaky either, so i guess i should stick with them or the bars at breakfast time
Will try a soup tomorrow!
The only exercise i do (besides house work and running after the girls) is the exercise bike occassionaly and we go for a walk every evening, at least for 30mins
i was suppose to have that for dinner tonight, but was a bit put off by the roast pumpkin soup, so i had a boiled egg instead, oh and jelly the jelly is yummo
what can't we eat? im going out to lunch with DH for the first time since DD1 was born (over 3yrs ago) on saturday, am i even going to be able to eat anything?
If you read through the New Start section, it says we're allowed to have a "loved" meal once a week, maybe your meal out with your DH could be that, and you'd have a bit more freedom choosing what you want to eat. Failing that, seriously, one meal of whatever you like is not going to hurt
