Everyt ime I manage to motivte myself to lose weight, it turns in to party season!
I've had 2 birthdays, a hens night and a wedding next weekend!
Have been pretty good so far, but there was nothing to have for my actual meal on saturday, so the best option I had (and took) was a warm chicken salad with onion and sundried tomato. But there was SO much dressing! Will have to see what happens. Was not so good with the water drinking either so its not looking good!.
Im not weighing in this Friday cos I will be on my way to Mt Gambier, so will have a 2 week weighin the following week.

    hi girls,
I've just started the "success" shake diet again (4th time) as i need to lose 4-5 kgs for my wedding in 7 weeks time (yay!). I've done it before and lost weight and then gone off it then gone on it, gone off it etc... i've always achieved my weight loss when I go on it... but it doesn't always stay off

Can i use your thread as motivation girls? Or should I start my own thread for the "success" diet? its through Amcal chemist so its their diet brand... very similar to the Tony Ferguson one i believe....

as long as you can put up with all the TF talk, I don't see why not?
You could always start your own thread too I guess

I just wanted to say a little woohoo for my mum who started the TF diet last week. She went for her first weight in today and has lost 3.8kg in a week! I'm hoping she can stick with it and continue to lose the weight.

do they advise you to take a chromium supplement on yours renstar - I have blackmores sugar balance, and it really does work wonders. I'll probably keep taking it long after I finish the diet.

    Good Luck Tegan!

How long is everyone planning on staying on the diet for?

Currently I am planning to stay on it til I get to my goal (10 and a bit kilos to go).
I imagine the weightloss will slow down though, I know I lost a lot in the first 4 weeks, and I don't expect it to stay at that rate. At this stage I am also planing to do the maintenance program for a while.

I've lost the same amount of weight before, and kept it off for about 6-12 months til I got pregnant with Milo, but TBH I have never been able to eat a healthy diet, exercise and not put on weight.

So depending how I go once I get to maintenance, if I am finding it hard I might give WW a try.

    well done Tegan good luck

Rayray, no they havent recommended to take a supplement? I dont think the "success" diet thru amcal chemist is as thorough as the T.F diet but it works none the less.....

How mean am I to myself? I bought 2 blocks of choc today (on special) and have put them away in cupboard so to test myself to keep away from them!! DF is already into his (hehe) and I have resisted and know that if i crumble and give in, then ketosis will have to re-start itself and its not worth it! Simply not worth it! Once i lose 3 kgs i will give myself a lil choc but until then i dont deserve to have one i feel in control.... PLUS i have our wedding to motivate me!!! DF is at his ideal weight now (he lost weight recently on shakes)...

Renstar, thats not mean, thats motivation!
I am seriously considering buying a block on the Coles brand belgian chocolate to put away, cos my luck they will delete it when I've lost weight and can eat better again (not that I'd eat the whole thing!) I am pretty good with chocolate, I used to be vegan so am used to haveing it around but not eating any.

Let us know how you go on your first day Tegan.

Well, not "official" weigh in for me this week, as I am going to a wedding in SA on the weekend, and we're leaving tomorrow (Friday is my weigh in day) I'm pretty sure I've lost something but after last week I am hunting for new bathroom scales on ebay. So I will weigh in "officially" either next Friday or Saturday.

Do you have to have the fibre in the shakes? I was thinking of just getting the fibre in a tablet form coz omg did it make me sick! Is this suppose to happen? I had my first shake this morning and i could only drink half because it made me really really full and i just felt so nauseous and bloated after it. I hope its not going to be like this the whole time...

Tegan, I don't have fibre in my shakes (well I have had before but I used benefiber not simply fibre. benefibre dissolves totally and doesn't thicken at all.)

anyway you don't have to have it at all if you don't need to, but I need to have it so I usually dissolve it in my water and take it that way.

    How is everyone going?
I weighed in today for the first time in a fortnight, and had lost 2.7kg so I pretty rapt since I've had a hens night and a weekend away at a wedding in that time.

So now I have less than 10 kilos to go! yay!

I've had to stop because i've been really sick and the only thing i can eat and keep down is toast, which your not suppose to have. So i'll have to start again when i'm better.

Well done on the loss rayray!
