I watched a program on TV last week where they got sisters, twins, against each other to tone down, lose weight. One was doing weights and the other walking machine etc.

This was for 30 min three times a week. It turned out that the one doing the walking lost the most body fat over the 8 week trial. It was, I think, 30 sec flat out then slow down pattern.

Seeing you have the equipment go for it, at least you have the option of doing this in privacy so can build up slowly without feeling guilty of wasting time at the gym.
