Not remotely answering your question, but is there any reason you can't hang the dryer on the wall?

That's what we did, because we've been happy with our top loader, but have a reasonably small laundry ...

I hope someone can answer your question, though

Unfortunately not unless I put it in the garage and I really don't want to do that...

No, fair enough - that would be a hassle ...

Hopefully some front loader users will drop by soon

We had our dryer on top of our washing machine for years and never had an issue. Just buy one of those mat thingys when you buy your machines.

I had a Samsung front loader which broke down after 7 years. I took it to get fixed but the fixer guy took aaaaaages so I cracked it and just went out and bought another Samsung because we got a really good deal. There aren't too mnay dos and don'ts really. Don't use too much detergent. Do clean the drum often so that bacteria doesn't build up and your clothes don't get smelly, the newer models have a drum clean cycle to make it easier. Umm, keep on top of hte filters otherwise the machine will just stop mid cycle.

I have an Electrolux dryer and have never had any issues.
