Hello,
I finally found the clove oil, but have lost the recipe for how to use it to kill mould on kids bath toys (and the non-slip bath mat as well)...does anyone know how to use clove oil to kill and prevent mould???
hi fg - my mum in FNQ uses it to mop her floors etc however a pharmacist friend of mine told me it's a carcinogen. I don't know anything more than that, but just thought i'd share if you were going to use it on bub's toys... you may want to look into it a bit more if you haven't already.
The clove oil is to stop the mould coming back, I don't think it gets rid of the mould already there???. You have to get rid of the mould first. I brushed the mould spores off the item outside and tried washing it & getting the sun to bleach it out, but it didn't fully work so then I used Milton Solution in tablet form. I made a paste from the Milton tablets with water and put it on the item & left it there for about 1/2 an hour, I then washed it in the machine with powder, hung it out in the sun to dry and & it 'bleached' the mould out.
