The clove oil is to stop the mould coming back, I don't think it gets rid of the mould already there???. You have to get rid of the mould first. I brushed the mould spores off the item outside and tried washing it & getting the sun to bleach it out, but it didn't fully work so then I used Milton Solution in tablet form. I made a paste from the Milton tablets with water and put it on the item & left it there for about 1/2 an hour, I then washed it in the machine with powder, hung it out in the sun to dry and & it 'bleached' the mould out.

The clove oil will kill the mould and help prevent or at least slow its return......what it won't do is remove the stain left by the mould....that's what the vinegar is for....
