I usually give the girls' plush toys a run through the washing machine on cold wash to preserve their colour (and they're sometimes made/contain synthetic fabrics that I fear might shrink or warp in warm wash)
bugger, i never even thought of that! - i just use warm wash cause of the "helps kill the bacteria" thing in my (warped) head
