I HATE vaccuuming. I really hate it. I don't like doing it quickly and feel the need to shift furniture and shake out mats etc. It is just a really annoying job. I also hate sitting on the lounge looking at dog fluff on the floor so I do actually do it each week but it's always the last job and I always make sure I sit and have coffee and a choccie when I'm done.
I think perhaps I hate it because the Dyson we have is a big clunky upright thingy which I find hard to manage......

I hate everything to do with washing except putting it in the machine. Solution? I am still working on it as mt foldmore will attest. But I try to use a cup of tea or a moment in the veggie garden afterwards as a reward.
I hate dishes too but I make DH do them mainly....

I'm with Onyx. Housework. I hire a cleaner.
I'm so envious. DH has issues with hiring a cleaner. He seems to think there is something morally suspect about getting someone else to clean your house

The only thing wrong with a cleaner is not being able to afford one!

I don't mind the folding bit. It's the getting those neatly folded piles into drawers that irks me. I hate doing it. If I'm feeling really virtuous I fold one person's things at a time and then put them away before I start the next person. It's more trips but more steps is good for me and it breaks the monotony. Plus it means I'm not standing in the heat for so long at a time.

That and unstacking the dishwasher, but that's usually a case of 'suck it up princess, no fairies here and it only takes 5 minutes'.

Taking the rubbish out! I tend to avoid it, so the bin them ends up on the brink of overflowing... 4/5 times DH will do it, but gee when I get stuck with it...

On a brighter note - DS loves helping DH takes the rubbish out. It's actually quite cute he takes the recycling and puts it in the big bin piece by piece. Guess who's chore it will be in a couple of years time - can't wait!

Here's a tip to help you sort the laundry:

Dump all the washing on your bed (so you have to sort it before you can sleep again) and sort it into quick piles, your stuff, Dh's stuff, the kid's stuff and the linen/towels.

Put the kids stuff back in the basket. Now fold and hang your stuff and put it away neatly. Then shove Dh's stuff away, inside out and unfolded because I guarantee he wont even notice, and then fold the linen and put it away, then take the kids stuff to their rooms and hang out with your kids while they play and you fold and hang their stuff, somewhat neatly but don't overdo it because they'll have their cupboards in a mess in 3 minutes anyway.

    Tada, job done

Ps. Who can be bothered ironing?
That is pretty much my method I just add music.

Just dislike housework in general. My main problem is deciding. So deciding what to do and how to do it. Along with finishing anything. Can start it, but rarely finish it 100%.

I fold the washing as I take it off the line (unless I'm rescuing it from the rain).
If you hang linen on one section and your cloths on another it is easy to get stuff semi-sorted as you put it in the basket. My sister divides up her hills hoist so that each person's cloths are in one section so she ends up with her basket almost 100% sorted.

Great thread! U have reminded me to clean my showers, so off to get some Shower Power or something tomorrow morning. I keep putting it off. I usually spray it, then when I'm ready for my shower, will go in there naked and scrub/rinse.

Also hate mopping. Hate it with a passion, so don't do it until I absolutely cannot stand it (the stickiness, why does it get so sticky, cos I have two kids that's why!).

DH always whinging that I don't clean enough. Its going to get dirty again so why bother????.
