Dodgy, Dodgy, Dodgy... Report them to ebay, and pay pal, and leave terrible feedback. That is so unacceptable. What appalling behaviour. I never list an item with a starting price or reserve lower than I want for it...
same here.... what were they thinking!

On the top right hand side of the e-bay page, there are links to 'Live Help' and 'Contact Us'.
You can use them to contact e-bay
hey thanks for that i never even knew they had live chat, i spoke to someone and they told me to email eBay so i have done that i feel all weird i have to see this person face to face to collect item.

paddywacks, i love your name and YES i want this pram and i will do everything to get it i have at this point paid for it and not responded to her email thinking she will soon realise i have paid her in paypal.

I am an ebay queen totally addicted and have had to put up with idiots like this before Please dont let them get away with this by the way what sort of pram was it, was it an expensive one??? what is their problem?????
it was a baby love brand so not expensive i don't believe. I also am a eBay junkie and like you i get so annoyed when ppl don't play nicely. the rules are simple they should be a member if they cant play nicely IYKWIM

MT....You so hit the nail on the head obviously its only worth that much as thats all anyone was willing to pay for it hey.

nelle thanks for that and thank you EVERYONE for ideas and thoughts and your support and such quick responses im sorta all fueled up now and almost about to jump on my soap box IYKWIM but ill wait to tomorro and see what happeneds as i dont want to say anything i might regret but BOY oh BOY oh BOY how rude was that woman GRRR not on. Its not fair when ppl like myself do the right thing and ppl like her cant even follow simple rules that even my 3 year old would understand.

I would definitely take someone with you to collect the pram. You need support face to face.

My DP, is an e-bay nut, and he says.
If you bid on an item it's a legal binding contract. You bidding on that item, legally binds you to buy that item for the price you bid on it.
The only way the seller can change the auction price is by adding in the postage cost, if it's not specified on the listing.
They can't just change their mind, and go "ooh, i want more money" unless of course there is a reserve price, and you haven't reached their reserve price, which is clearly stated at the top saying "Reserve not met"
Which is normally only applicable to cars.
I would reccomend, contacting e-bay authorities, attaching a copy of the e-mail received plus a copy of the receipt from pay pal you would of gotten after transferring the money.
You are not required to pay any more money than you have already, assuming this was full payment including postage fees, etc etc.
Hope this helps and good luck, feel free to PM me if you need any more info

Contact ebay, i wouldnt even contact the seller. The email was wrong and inappropriate i would be easy to get into a slangin match just let ebay know its their site and rules and their job to enforce them

Perhaps send a message to the person that bid on it saying that it was relisted and you won it the first time? Say it in a way that you are sorry, and ebay are sorting it out, and they should try other auctions, in case they end up in the same situation as you.

i would try and work it out before the new listing ends.. then it will become very tricky with another party involved..

If she has already listed it and someone has bidded on it, then I would not worry about trying to get the pram and just get your money back via ebay or paypal etc.

Just moving this to the Ebay Help forum too....

No, see I'd want the pram! You won it fair and square! Follow it through with ebay hun, and make sure they know she's already re-listed it. Not on! I agree that a friendly email to the person who has bit on it might be a good idea.

Mods please move this is needed!

heres the thing i won a auction on a pram in Ebay and seller has just emailed me this.

    "Hi there

I believe you won the pram I had listed, however, I was kind of hoping for more than $40.00 as it is worth a whole lot more than that!
So I have relisted the item.

However, I would like for us to have a mutual withdrawal or would you like to work something out to achieve my desired price?

Looking forward to hearing from you."

I have tho paid in paypal so i know i have buyer protection. But what else can i do what should i say and how should i respond to this email. I know they cant do this. How cheeky is that resisting it GRRRRR
it's illegal to ask for more money after an auction ends, and to re-list the item. report them thru the ebay complaints process, and forward them the email.

Omg..that is so wrong, so basically this women is trying to sell this item to someboady else when she has already been paid by you ! She's a fraud, i wonder how many people before you has she done this too...that pram is YOURS!! Take it as far as you can darl she should not get away with this...you won the bid, you paid for the item so that item is now YOURS not hers. I agree take someone with you to collect the item because i dare say she will cause a ruckuss.

Oh i would be fighting it out too just for the principal of it.
I would first contact the seller and say that yeh you won the auction fair and square for their listed price. It is not your fault that they started the auction at a too low price for them. You have both entered into a leagally binding contract and you want the item you have paid for. If she doesnt agree to this then tell her you will contact ebay as it is against their policies which may lead her to be indefinately suspended.
Then id wait for a reply. If you dont get one within 2 days then id contact ebay and see what they say.

You won the auction fair and square. Even if they made you pay more shipping costs, they can only make you pay what it costs them to ship the item. They arent allowed to make money from shipping.

All the best and let us know how it pans out.
