My DD's aren't old enough for school yet CKJ but I am still thinking about it. I have DD1 enrolled in kindy for next year but I love the kindy and it's play based and I'm happy to start her and see how she goes. But as for school, I'm anxious about it. Worried that it will stifle her creativity and love of learning So I'm still researching homeschooling. It's an enormous decision though. And scary to decide to do something that is so different to what most people do. The more I read the more I think it's a great idea, which scares me. Sometimes I wonder if I should just stop reading and be ignorant and follow the crowd, LOL. But I owe it to my DD's to find out the best option for them so I will keep reading and trying to figure out what that is!

“We destroy the love of learning in children, which is so strong when they are small, by encouraging and compelling them to work for petty and contemptible rewards, gold stars, or papers marked 100 and tacked to the wall, or A's on report cards, or honor rolls, or dean's lists, or Phi Beta Kappa keys, in short, for the ignoble satisfaction of feeling that they are better than someone else.”
