thanks for sharing PacRakMG. you give me hope that you can still conceive and carry to full term even if you have fibroids. spotting the whole way through would have been horrible for you, especially after the MC.
My period is the same! it lasts for about the same time and the amount of pads you go through are ridiculos, i haven't tried the maternity ones though, i just use the super and still manage to leak if i'm not careful. I might try the maternity ones next time. night time is the worst, i'm so paranoid about not waking up and messing the bed that i hardly sleep a wink those first couple of nights. my cycles are on average at the moment of 42 days. I don't know how i'd cope if they were every 28 like yoursDoc did mention that i may not be ovulating due to the long cycles. In dec I had pain and spotting mid cycle that then turned into full on bleeding for two fulls weeks. i was exhausted. I had ultrasounds and they said there's nothing out of the ordinary that's causing, just the fibroid (which they incorrectly diasgnosed as a cyst).
it gets really frustrating getting different stories and opinions. i"m currently looking into a specialist in sydney by the name of Dr Lam who is apparently one of Australias top surgeons in Gynaecology. I spoke to them today and they can do a phone consult i just have to send them all my previous medical records. i'm looking forward to getting an answer/opinion on what to do.
I"m the same as you PacRakMG in that none of my family (that i'm aware of) have them either. So it's all new territory.
Thanks again you really have given me hope![]()
