    Talking my laparoscopy

I had a lap last month to investigate premenstrual spotting. (suspected endo). I had been spotting for up to 9 days before af (which was just getting ridiculous, and made me feel v despairing about hope for implantation.) I had no other endo symptoms.

I was pretty happy with the procedure, the doctor and anaesthetist were great, and I didn't have as much pain afterwards as i was expecting. my scars are really tiny too! The dr told me that i had only had 2 small patches of endo, and that she didn't think it would have been enough to cause the spotting (boo! I thought, as I really just wanted an explanation and something to do about it.)

HOWEVER, this month, the first month after the lap, I have had NO SPOTTING AT ALL. I cannot remember this happening to me ever in my life!! so I am really really pleased!!! af is either due tomorrow or the day after (although hopefully does not arrive, i feel like we're at least in with a shot this time.)

Just wanted to say that the only cycles where I've had no spotting before my AF have been ones where I was pregnant. Fingers crossed that's why you aren't spotting too. Good luck.

thanks for the luck satya! i guess i will find out really soon now. i'm a bit scared to test yet! i don't have any preg symptoms (and have been avoiding temping too much this month as i get much too obsessed over it all. mind you, even though i have only taken the occasional temp, i have been excruciatingly aware of my dpo count!)

thanks dusty! it is really nice to see a change in my body and have reaffirmed that having the surgery really was the right thing to do. I tested this morning - bfn but at least i know i can attribute any differences purely to the lap. i feel like it is full steam ahead for us now... so roll on next month!!
