I'm always one for being honest and upfront and I have been wondering how much information I can/need to tell DD about where babies come from. (and out from)
I know some people don't even like talking to their older children about the topic, so I'm aware that what I tell my DD could be passed on to others.
She's probably a bit young to ask some questions yet, but I'd like to be prepared!
I just remember in grade 4 or 5 when someone told me about periods and I was so horrified!! Mum always called pads and tampons 'ladies things'.
My main question is do I tell her babies come out of the mummy's vagina (don't laugh but we call it a 'schninny' here) and/or the tummy?
What's your view/experience?
