We are new to this site, and have been TTC since Feb 08. We have recently decided to change our donor, and have since then decided to change birth mum also.

We went through a kind of creepy experience when our experienced known donor - from Sydney became decidedly weird. We saw him soon after one of the couples he had helped had a baby, and he ran around excited that he was a father and had a new baby. That was a bit unsettling, and then he proceeded to talk in a way that sounded kind of cult-ish about wanting to father so many children, and for everyone to all be friends and visit with each other. So after some intense discussion we decided that we would look elsewhere.

Our second donor was much younger and very eager to help, but turned out to have fertility issues of his own. So that was a big disappointment for everyone.

After further investigation into the fertility laws of SA we found out that I can access Reproductive technology cos I have PCOS (diagnosed at age14). It was at this point we decided to change birth mums, and to go through a clinic.

We are currently waiting for our first appointment there and are hoping that we will have success!
