Is this cancer? **TMI**

Ok so i have noticed some blackish spots on my vulva (yes yucky i know, and not something i would usually check, but i did)
they don't seem painful, they are small and have never been their before.
I have never have had any problems what so ever with "downstairs".
I have been googling and googling has me worried!
also the fact that for as long as i can remember i have always said i am going to die by the time i am 40 (10yrs away)
and than yesterday DD1 said to me "mummy when you die, daddy will have to find me a new mummy" i told her i wasn't going to die and she said "yes you are mum"
So now of course im stressing that this could be cancer, and that yes my time will soon be up!

Oh crap! That would freak me out too

I really don't know if the spots are cancer, sorry I haven't even really hear much about vaginal or cancer of the vulva or any warning signs. I would go to get it checked out ASAP, if nothing more but to put your mind at ease

no she hasn't, well not that i have noticed, but i have! which is scary!

and when i told DH what she said (because it upset me) he asked why did she say that, mummy isn't going to die! and she said "yes daddy she is"

i wanna get it checked, i need to go for a pap smear, but AF is due any day so am thinking maybe i am best to wait a few weeks, but it is really stressing me out!

and i know i shouldn't google but wanted to try and find out what it could be! i don't even know what it was that made me even look, but i guess it's a good thing i did!

Ok now you've got me googling! I just read that as you get older (I'm not suggesting you're old at 30, but well...) your skin can start to get thinner and veins can actually start to show through looking like dark marks on your vulva.
And because it's stressing you, bugger AF and get it checked soon, they can still check your vulva, and hey, they might look and and go "oh yes that's nothing to worry about." Still sending more hugs

I know that stress feeling when you're worried about your health like that

Here's a couple more harmless things, I know I tend to focus on the terrifying when I google for myself...HTH

Angiokeratomas

These are tiny clusters of dilated blood vessels with a scaly top, seen after puberty usually on the labia majora. They tend to become more numerous in older age. They are bright red initially but can become darker, almost black. Very occasionally they can bleed slightly if knocked. Other than that they don’t cause symptoms and are harmless.If they are causing problems they can easily be removed in the doctors office.

Seborrhoeic keratoses

These are harmless warty lesions found all over the skin in increasing numbers in people as they age (senile warts!) They are found on the labia majora in women from the thirties onwards. They are often dark in colour 2-5mm in diameter or larger. They can be solitary or multiple. They can cause alarm because of the colour, confused with melanomas. They are not anything to worry about with no potential to turn cancerous.

they are not scally or "warty" eewww looking, but im hoping its one of them

i went through a tough time dealing with turning 30 and now being this old may be changing my body

i knew it was all going to be down hill

but thank you willow, it has slightly eased my mind! and i guess they could maybe pass as possibly being veins, they are the colour of veins anyway

but i will be calling a doctor (gotta find a female one) first thing on monday, i really need to find out what it is, otherwise im going to start to go grey with worry, or is that age too

No chance your pregnant?

Yep increased blood flow to the area can make the colour chage to a dark violet.

Noooooooo! if AF dosent arrive today than i have missed a month! today is CD34 - AF after last bub has been about 28-30 days apart!
