Has your DD said profound things that ended up being reality before
no she hasn't, well not that i have noticed, but i have! which is scary!

and when i told DH what she said (because it upset me) he asked why did she say that, mummy isn't going to die! and she said "yes daddy she is"

i wanna get it checked, i need to go for a pap smear, but AF is due any day so am thinking maybe i am best to wait a few weeks, but it is really stressing me out!

and i know i shouldn't google but wanted to try and find out what it could be! i don't even know what it was that made me even look, but i guess it's a good thing i did!

Ok now you've got me googling! I just read that as you get older (I'm not suggesting you're old at 30, but well...) your skin can start to get thinner and veins can actually start to show through looking like dark marks on your vulva.
And because it's stressing you, bugger AF and get it checked soon, they can still check your vulva, and hey, they might look and and go "oh yes that's nothing to worry about." Still sending more hugs I know that stress feeling when you're worried about your health like that

Here's a couple more harmless things, I know I tend to focus on the terrifying when I google for myself...HTH

    Angiokeratomas

These are tiny clusters of dilated blood vessels with a scaly top, seen after puberty usually on the labia majora. They tend to become more numerous in older age. They are bright red initially but can become darker, almost black. Very occasionally they can bleed slightly if knocked. Other than that they don’t cause symptoms and are harmless. If they are causing problems they can easily be removed in the doctors office.

    Seborrhoeic keratoses

These are harmless warty lesions found all over the skin in increasing numbers in people as they age (senile warts!) They are found on the labia majora in women from the thirties onwards. They are often dark in colour 2-5mm in diameter or larger. They can be solitary or multiple. They can cause alarm because of the colour, confused with melanomas. They are not anything to worry about with no potential to turn cancerous.

Dr Google is BAAAAAAD. See your real doctor for peace of mind, but really, it could be something quite common and not harmful. I mean it's not the kind of conversation you have around the morning tea table at work, is it so you wouldn't know that it's harmless.

It must be really scary to be worried about something you are not easily able to get answers to. I think you have some great advice here and I am glad it has helped ease your mind a bit before you manage to get in to see your GP.

I just wanted to reassure you about the comments your DD has been making. I certainly believe that sometimes kids can have incredible insight and maybe they can sense things we don't know about but I think there may be may other explanations for her comments. Maybe she is very sensitive and has picked up on how you are feeling and is verbalising it. Maybe she has heard you talk about death and is trying to make sense of it.

I don't know how old your DD is but my nearly 4 year old talks about death a bit! We have visited family graves in the past and I guess she has come across death in stories, I certainly don't shy away from the topic as I see it as a part of life and I have been amazed at how she can happily discuss what will happen when I die! She talks about how she will miss Nana if she dies and how Daddy will have to learn how to make sandwiches properly when I die. A number of times she has told me that she will visit me at "the Gravy" (graveyard ) when I die. It has allowed us to explore lots of feelings and scenarios and I think it is a normal part of development for a child to make sense of things that are hard to comprehend to talk about them a lot, put them into play and revisit the theme in lots of different ways. I am sure this is what is going on with your DD rather than intuition. Don't be afraid to talk about it with her and address her concerns, but make sure you address your concerns too! It must be a terrible feeling to be worried about your health.

    hun
FWIW my mum has had vulva cancer and although it wasnt pleasant- hers hadnt spread and it hasnt affected her health at all
she had surgery, but no chemo or other treatment
they test the area to see if something is wrong by putting a vinegar solution on to it. She said that she first suspected something as her skin felt different- just not like it used to.

she has now been cancer free for 5 years!!! WOOT and they dont expect it to return
so put your mind at easy- go see a gyno and find out what they are!
