im glad you had a look kass!
it makes me so upset how so many people are taking this and havent read about it.
My gyno told me i should get it - i laughed and asked why, when i have had HPV? I asked him to give me one good reason as to why it would really benefit me.

    No answer.

I just hope people remember in a few more years taht someone was trying to show them how nasty this thing really is!

Oh, and by the way, they dont even know if it will still be effective in those who have taken it in 10 years...... havent you noticed all the reminders on tv ALREADY to go and have a pap test?

Kass don't be afraid, just aware. You'll rarely find a DR who won't recommend getting a vax of any sort so i wouldn't take their word for it. Just empower yourself by conducting personal research. I am personally pro-vaccinations but have huge reservations about Gardisil both for the side effects and the premise behind it. But everyone should obviously make their own informed decision

    thanks kass

so true mumma - just for people to be informed!

kass, i had CIN2 - for cervical cancer to fully develop it takes around 10 years (of course there can be much more sever cases, but this is the general timeframe) thats why they only say to have a pap every 2 years.

even if you get gardisil, you still need your pap every 2 years
