I'm up at 1:30am because my DP wouldn't let me read while he was sleeping - I'll be going back to bed soon, not until after I tell people my water news. I finally got to the 1L mark today YaY!

ICK! Has anyone bought an actual water bottle? Mine has been washed twice & it's tasting really really gross, like there's detergent in it still. I think I might stick to chuck away bottles.

Sarah fill it with boiling water and 2 teaspoons of bicarbonate of soda and leave overnight. Do the same with the lid (i.e. in a cup of water) and the taste should vanish. You could also re-use a normal bottled water bottle. I've had a volvic 500ml bottle on the go for my runs now for...um....4 months. GIve it a good rinse everyday and it's as good as new

ETA - oh yeah, water, um 4 pints, so about 2L but it's REALLY hot here, so even with that, i hardly pee'd.

Yes, I resuse my 'pump' water bottle, and I love that its 750ml cos just too bottles and I'm at 1.5L !

I know what you mean about the taste staying there too, that was happening with my thermal cup that I use for soups etc. so thanks for the heads up Bec

I don't use a bottle at home. I measured the quantity of our glasses and they are exactly 250ml when full so I just use them and keep a tally on the 'fridge white board.

I re-use a Mount Franklin water bottle when i go out though.

I haven't but I bought a Powerade and after I drank that, I used the bottle - it's so easy to use because you just need to rinse it out with water and re-fill it with water
The bottle itself is 600mL so three of those and i'll be going good guns!

I gave up on my plastic drink bottle & just keep refilling the 600ml & 750ml bottles I have.

2.4L so far today. Dinner with the ILs so I might splurge & have a lemonade
