I'm the same BG. Had some hot water today in a glass.... i have a bit of an embarrassing thing to admit to: I love drinking the hot water that comes out of the shower... I cup my hands and drink! I've always done it... hehe, now my secret is out!
sorry - i think i worded that wrongly Bath - i meant no matter what the temp around me, the water has to be icy cold (cept if i'm at work and can't control it!)
Hey Bath, I was told at Uni by a lecturer that hot water straight from the tap is very bad!! You should use cold water and warm it up. Sorry to be a downer on your secret admission!! LOL... and for the record, I hate the water in the shower... bluh!! LOL
I have only drank 1 litre today
Yesterday I got to almost 2L
i've nearly done my 2L's... will probably be abit over because ill need a drink with dinner... i have never tried just plain hot water... my water usually needs to be cold aswell
well... i have drunk 2l today, and still going - pretty happy with myself. I also start the day with hotwater, but add 1/2 a lemon - meant to cleanse the liver...
done my 2L's will probably have another glass before bed
i just wanted to say thankyou sarah_h for starting this..... it really has motivated me to drink more water and even tho i only started yesterday im feeling much better
Only about 350mls so far, but i'm having my coffee so will get back to the water after that.
Apparently water is best absorbed when your body doesn't have to do anything with it. SO body temperature is the perfect (for one's gut) temperature. Very cold constricts the blood vessels in the stomach, slowing down absorbtion, very hot causes minor cell damage which your body has to repair. What does it need to repair....you guessed it WATER!
I've heard that too hoobley. It's better to drink water at body temperature, so your body can use it straight away. Otherwise the body has to warm up or cool down the water, which apparently it doesnt really like (or so I've heard!).
I also heard the 'don't drink hot water straight from the tap' - something about the hot water heater/pipes containg trace elements of things like lead. Don't know if that is a myth or not, though I just googled it and found the same answer so... I'm going to err on the side of caution and drink it cold... I can't drink hot water anyway, i don't like it.
1.4L yesterday, which is actually amazing, since usually drink MAYBE a 200mL glass a day, if that.
Already had 800mL today Started my day drinking water, and then my coffee (I can't give my morning coffee up for anything!). Back to water again.
