Same as Peach..in the first few months DD would only sleep for a decent amount of time in my arms, but eventually she would sleep on her own for longer periods of time. She was always just a cat napper though, it's only been in the last few months that she will have a decent day sleep. It does get better/easier. Do you have a sling you could put him in for some of the time? He'll still be close to you and you can get some things done without having an armful of baby.
