The other day a friend offered to babysit Jazz while Shel and I go out for my birthday. Jazz is being a bit funny with EBM at the moment so I declined because I didn't want her to get stressed about taking a bottle. My friend looked at me with wide eyes and said "you're STILL breastfeeding?!?! but shes past 6 weeks..." WTF? After my shock (been on BB too long lol!) I just started on WHO recommendations.
Though I have wanted to say "well, with formula you just don't know what you're feeding your baby..." (re chinas formula scandal) but I haven't yet...
PMSL!Cloth nappies...blah blah blah (I don't really listen).
- Sometimes disposables explode.
When people start going on about cloth nappies being more work I just give a really confused look and say "its not like I handwash them... one extra load every two days saves me $30 a week!"
And when people comment on having Jazz in her sling, or not letting her be alone (she is always in whatever room I am in, napping or not), and say "oh she has you wrapped around her finger" I just say (thanks to suggestions from BB!) "I wouldn't have it any other way!".
And last but not least, when someone says to me "crying is good for them" I just smile and say "love is better"![]()
