Belfie: I went to see the Diabetic Ob on Monday again and he told me that he doesn't think I had a hypo at 20 weeks, he says it occurs more if ur on insulin and I wasn't positive for GD yet back then. He thinks what might of happened is that I already had a high blood sugar level that day and the softdrink and a chocolate bar just made it higher as he said normally if your having a hypo it starts to get better 10 minutes after something very sweet like softdrink or it could have been low blood pressure or something. I don't know what it was but my gp put me on leave the next week as I work at Bunnings in a huge metal shed with no aircon walking up and down aisles, up and down ladders on a cement floor lol

I have a couple more issues now with this diabetes, I have only put a kilo on in the last month and they think bubs is a little small, though the radiographer on wednesday said 2.1 kgs at 33 weeks is average. They have upped my insulin again to 13 at night and 19 in the morning, but said if my fasting bsl is under 5.5 to gauge my own insulin requirement. So this morning it was 5.3 so I had 15 units, had my breaky, 2 hour post breaky level was 7, so it worked today yay

I have heard that stress can affect your blood sugar levels..if this is really the case then there is no wonder I can't keep mine stable. I have alot of stressful things going on in my life, not just the pregnancy!

The Diabetic Ob, told me that my thyroid blood tests were fine, he's waiting on the Type 1 LADA result to come through as he's not seen someone so thin with diabetes before he called me a 'pleasant surprise'. He's just a little concerned that I'm not gaining weight, and bubs is a little small and at this time I should be gaining the most weight. I'm eating double what I was a month ago, but I'm always starving! And I'm not working or excersizing so I should be gaining some weight. I gained 16 kilos with my son, this time I've gained 10 and slowed right down..basically since I started with the insulin..weird.

I have to ring the Diabetic Educator every 3 days with my bsl's and insulin results, and weigh myself once a week now to see if I gain anything. Bub's is ok though! She's squirming around 24/7
