    Congratulations!!!

So I went to have my test. Fasted and all, and they had lost my form. Was going to have to wait for and hour and a half for the duty dr to arrive at the drs clinic to get a form before IMVS would start my test. They couldn't take the first bloods and start the glucose without the form.
So I rescheduled and will be fasting tonight ready for the test in the morning. See the dr on Friday morning. Not sure if my results will be back in time though.
Anyway just giving you all a heads up.

I hope they don't lose your forms again.

    Thanks.
I know that they have them this time.
At least I am booked in for 8.15am so don't have to fast too long, will sleep through most of it.
Will let you all know how I go.

I got my results yesterday and I have GD. My fasting bsl was 5.4 and my 2 hour was 7.6. My 2 hour was under the allowed 8 but my fasting was high.
So I see the Diabetic Educator at the drs surgery on Thursday and the Dietician on Friday.
So will see how that all goes.

    Hi Becci.
Sorry to hear you have GD.
What was the max level you're allowed for the fasting one?

Good luck with the appointments this week.
I hope everything goes well, and you get lotsa helpful information.
It is alot of information to take in all at once, but once you get used to it and know what foods work well for you, it gets easier.

We're for you and we'll try and answer any questions you may have too

Uh. So I've had an interesting weekend... I'm a private person so I don't share that I have diabetes with people, so I just do my own thing, yeah sort of hiding it.. but it's my own choice.
I did ok with the inlaws here this weekend, considering they eat all that nice food and bread from the bakery alot.
I did have a bit of a meltdown in private with just my DP, and I took it out on him alot cause I really need him to help me stay strong alot of the time. + Hormones too.
    But anyways, it's all good.

Hope you all had a great weekend.
    xx

Thanks Tenny. The max I was allowed was 5 so I wasn't too much over, but I guess every little bit counts.

You were only just over, and were under the allowed 8.
Hopefully that means you'll be able to keep it all diet controlled easier and no insulin, cause it was only just over.
Even though they give you time to try and control it by diet firstly anyways.

    Fingers crossed!!

Went really well today. The DE save me a brand new glucometer too. I have to test four times a day and two hours after my meals. At this stage anyway.
The lancettes didn't hurt as much as was expecting either which was good.
Am thinking of setting a timer on my phone or something so I don't forget to do my bsls later on too.
Will see that the Dietician has to say tomorrow.
