    Congrats on finishing work, Snowchickie!
    Exciting! Whoohooooo!

I was thinking the same thing about my baby and the size. Doesn't seem to have really affected much, I don't think. Although I've been having more naughty things lately, I haven't been even putting on a kilogram in a week, so it makes me think my baby isn't really gaining that much more which I think is good. I don't want/need an overly massive baby. lol.

I'm not fully sure about the GTT after the baby is born. My OB mentioned it once but I forgot the timeframe he said. lol.

As for the urine sugar. At my OB appointments since like 20wks or so they test your urine. I wasn't sure if you ladies get that or not. I had it with DS' pg too, so I think it's just something my OB does. Checking for protein and all that jazzzz.

Goodluck with your appointment today. I hope everything is going perfectly for you.
No ideas about after dinner snacks. I usually don't eat after dinner. I sometimes have some fruit, but usually I don't have anything.

WooHoo SnowChickie on being on maternity leave!!

I don't remember any irational rants SnowChickie. Besides we all have those when pg anyway.

My GP said that they will monitor my bsls while in hospital and I will have to monitor them until my 6 week check up when he'll send me for a GTT. 3 months seems like a long time to me. 6 weeks is bad enough to have to wait for me lol.
Remember that sizing u/s can be out by 20%. That's either side of the reading they give you.
It all depends on what my reading is after dinner as to what I snack on. If my reading is low then I might indulge in a little fruit and ice cream liek I did last night. If it's high then I just stick to the Jarrah Hot Choc. Milo used to send my levels way over the top, but I know others that it's fine with. Unfortunately it's just a matter of finding out what's right for you.

As for me, I just back from the drs. BP was about 95 this morning so he said that there was no need to 'interviene' at this stage and just to report the levels to the dr tomorrow. What ever interviene is. I'll ask about that tomorrow.

Good news about your BP, Becci.
I hope it comes down some more and stays down.

When i was induced with isaac 12 months ago i had to check my levels a little more often than i would normally do. Then i monitored while i had hte drip on. All i had to eat the whole time was a hot chocolate. the whole day i didn't have to do any insulin except breakfast i think i can't remember.

the next day no insulin but i had to check my levels and hte nurse checked them as well and marked them down in her notes. Then from there i checked my levels they were still a little high by 6 weeks they were back to normal. I had my GTT in september which was about 6 weeks and i passsed with flying colours.

I had a couple of days where they were high again but when i did another GTT they were fine.

My hospital heildburge Mercy was pretty strict.
