df never had great christmas's growing up, & the only ones i realy remember as a kid always ended with mum fighting with her inlaws or my step dad id often spend the rest of the day at the river just for quiet! when i moved to my dads, it was a huge family do, every one (dads one of 12) even extended family would randomly show up to grandmas for lunch, dinner or both, so we still do that, and its great watching the kids run arround with there cousions. as for presents, we only buy for the kids, the kids get something small for the grandparents that make a effort to know them, df and i sometimes get each other something small. my family do kriss kringle (sp?) but it is optional. if we didnt have the kids, wed probably pop into grandmas say hi, and then it would be like a regular day, so its more a thing for the kids here!
