Its almost Valentines Day...

So I woke up this morning to find DH standing over me with a huge grin on his face and holding out a gift-wrapped box (looks like jewellery!)...
Cue frantic phone call to my parents to take me to the mall while DH is out shifting his dad's boat to its new mooring so I can get him something.

He said he'll be home soon so I'll open my present then, and we'll see how the rest of the day goes. Still not sure what we're doing for dinner, probably just whatever I can drag out of the freezer because I just got the phone bill and can't afford to buy takeaway, so...


Hope all the loved-up ladies out there are being spoiled, and the single ladies amongst us are pampering themselves!! Have a great day, girls.

i got DH a little biker teddy bear for V-day - is wearing a black bandana with red hearts, and a leather type vest - very cute.

he got me a teddy with a purple miniature rose.

we both knew cos we haven't been shopping without each other in ages!

i just got out of the shower - found 10 long stemmed red roses on my pillow - in the few minutes i'd been in the shower, he ran outside and got roses from the garden. totally unexpected and so sweet!

we're going to cook roast tonight for dinner - but that's a "both of us" thing.

Aw thats so cute Dach! I cant wait til my boys are old enough to make things like that (although you would think DH would have thought of it this morning while I was sleeping in........cheap and easy, heart warming Vday present that he didnt have to put effort into )

We had a sleepy weekend away. We stayed in a little shack on a friends property in scone. it rained all weekend so we were stuck inside...it was great!

we have about 300 rose bushes we've planted over the past 3 years - only maybe 10 deep blood red roses and only one had fresh buds so i was a lucky girl to get them!

even one would have been a sweet gesture - 10 was just amazing!

I got spoilt big time!!

A beautiful bunch of flowers

Sleep in, DH looked after N from a early wake up, brought her in for feed time then took her again and gave N her breakfast. He cooked my bacon and eggs on toast followed by poached pears (he did himself the night before) on pancakes

Then we took N to her swimming lesson, after getting home he poured me a bath, with candles, brought in a new book to read, and I relaxed while he fed and looked after N. Bought her in for a BF which was lovely (she loved being int he bath too!!).

We also went out to dinner and had a lovely evening, a nice bottle of red although I couldn't have much or N would have been drinking it later that night! Seafood yummo!!!

Was a brilliant day, Dh said he was making up for a lot of missed opportunites
