A bit of both. One Christmas my DH gave me a cheap wallett with alot of cash in it for me to spend on clothes for myself. Over the next 3mths I bought little things for the kids, things for me and some for my DH as well.
If I am out shopping for me, I usually come home with soemthing for the kids as well, even if it's just a pair of jocks or socks, they love seeing things on their bed when they get home.
I remember as kid loving it if my Mum bought me a treat or something new while I was at school or she went shopping on her own.
Both as well. I consider my treats money for exercise (like the gym or soccer). I don't really tend to buy DS a lot of stuff but will take him out to the pool or the movies more for a treat.
