I don't find tupperware that expensive for the life span you get with them.
I've got containers that I bought 20 years ago, still going strong while cheaper containers have died. I've even got containers passed down through the family that are still alive and going well.
Also the fridgesmart range saves me money when I do a F&V shop because it extends the life of the food. Last weekend I stupidly left some mushrooms in the brown paper bag in the fridge and I had to throw them out today when I cleaned out the fridge, the ones that had been put into the tupperware container the week previously are still going strong.
