I think they price things higher so that people who want the premium thing need to have parties to get the stuff they want.

The lifetime guarantee ain't worth squat - once you get past a certain age, and your thing breaks, the replacement item never matches the original colour. So basically, you pay big $$ to have a matching set in the colour you want but then when it wears out tough tits.

That's not to say I don't buy Tupperware. I think some items have value and last well, but I"m very selective in what I buy. Ebay is good too.
