hate to be a dampener but do you really think that there will be ANY GP/OBs who will happily sign a collaboration agreement with a IM? When the position is written clear as day in every AMA/RANZCOG press release? (its something "... does not support homebirth"

This is a very, very dark day for Midwifery, and women's rights, I am deeply deeply worried about the future for my daughters and nieces and Friends who are yet to start families as they have just taken away a huge chunk of our reproductive rights.

Won't be long and will have not one midwife legally practicing who has seen a breech vaginal or twin birth.

yep will force those already in the homebirth frame of mind to freebirth (like myself), but what about those women who have had a traumatic c-section and are faced with the option of another c-section, back at the hospital that traumatised them or a freebirth and are not supported in their choices by partners and families? This is what the choice would be for my sister and its not good enough!

    Shame on you Nicola Roxon
