Yeah I'm pretty happy with it. I also messaged a friend who specializes in maternity and birth photography but she wants $300 which in itself is pretty cheap however it's not free. So I'm not sure what to do yet.

As for the Midwife, I've had 2 responses from the 3 so far and both have said no. Too far to travel and they both said they like to have 2 midwives at the birth. To me that's a reflection on their practice and I don't think I'd gel with them anyways. Plus I can't imagine how much they'd be charging.

So I'm waiting on one more reply from Jane Crawford. I may have to call like you said.

I had a visit to ED yesterday on referral from my GP. I was wondering if maybe I had a slow leak in my membranes as for the last 2 weeks I've had continuous watery loss. Id been umming and ahhing about going so bit the bullet yesterday and my GP sent me straight up to ED. They did all the usual stuff and did an amniotic swab test and it came back negative. I have to go for a scan tomorrow to check fluid levels.

So that's me at the moment. Feeling this little babe wriggle around a lot now.

Glad your feeling better Kelly. It's time to just chill and await for your baby to make an appearance

Hi everyone else. Hope you're all well!

Kelly, sounds like you're all set. I'm thinking maybe even a July bub there.

Sara, hope you have better luck finding an IM. It sucks that you don't just have the choice like women have in other countries to have public midwife support at home.

I'm excitedly waiting to become an auntie again very soon I hope! My sister's EDD was last weekend but my guess was today or tomorrow after talking to her last week. She should do well.

Hi everyone! Joining this thread, probably a little early, but I'm so excited! Planning to birth my first baby at home in march 2013

I am a birth photographer, and have attended so many different kinds of births, and now know what I want and what I don't want.

Ive found an amazing IM and looking forward to getting to know you all

Mrsbaj, I haven't seen BOBB, but I'd recommend the Face of Birth, since it essentially deals with HB and the maternity situation in Australia. The BOBB to me seems more like it points to a system we could head towards if we are not careful, but thankfully our maternity system does not yet do it quite so badly. FOB was quite emotive for me too, because it dealt with women and their individual stories.

Of course, there's nothing wrong with watching both! I'm trying to remember to get online to watch the BOBB on YouTube, apparently the full version is now available.

Aimz - there are many wise women in here. Some of us just happen to pick up on what they say and come along for the ride.

Ive only seen the first BOBB (Jen cant believe youve not seen it, its bloody awesome!) but I read comments yesterday on my FB where a few women were saying that they felt the second was pretty crap in comparison, dragged on too much and slow to get to the points - could have covered much more with what they did. Seen BOBB so many times and watch it with all my birth clients, talking it through with them.

Just woke up from a sleep, feeling rather yuck. Have had a cold this week but its just gotten achey and yucky, mainly on my right side - earrache, headache and neck ache. Sort of feels a bit neuralgia-like in my head so wondering if its got to to with my back/rib issues? Having a great run lol. Better get up and eat.
