I feel like the biggest hypocrite saying this, considering I felt the exact same way a week ago, but try to keep in mind that you can't be pregnant forever, TheMrs Sending you lots of happy birthing vibes
Hang in there the mrs i know it's tough. I struggled to get through my pregnancies but made it in the end. The wait will be worth it. I just tell myself that the baby will come when it is the RIGHT time even though you may not feel that way.
Try and rest as much as possible the mrs. Just focus on the basics and looking after yourself xx Are you seeing a chiro?

hoti- I think henna sounds like a great idea! Perhaps with how hard it can be to time it with the birth you could just do it anytime that suits you as a blessing to yourself to nurture yourself and this pregnancy. To offer a ray of light. You have me wanting to do it too now. It's kind of exciting to have something new and special to be able to do during a third pregnancy
Thanks for your experiences too hoti. I think the postnatal care bit is an good point. Interestingly one thing that draws me to this MW is that her care is more woman centered than anyone else around and she's the only one who offers all her post-natal care as home visits rather than switching to office visits as early as 2 weeks post-birth! I'm shocked so many MWs around here do that! I found another list of local MWs and now there are WAY too many to choose from but I figure I can scratch off the flimsy care ones
In any case we're going to hire a post-natal doula this time. I have always fallen apart for at least the first couple of weeks post-natally and I want intense care at that time. Given our birth will be covered by insurance this time too I figure we can spend the money that we would have otherwise spent on the MW.

The Mrs, do you know of anyone close who does pregnancy acupuncture? I found it extremely relieving in my last pregnancy with my pelvis, and I'll start a course of acupuncture soon. If not, then all I have to offer for comfort is that you have a week or so to go then you'll get relief and endorphins to take your mind off it! I've got a summer to go with this immobility crap...you are so very near the end
Thank you everyone for your kind words. It doesn't help that it's the holidays and I've seen a lot of family and they all have some unwanted advice about how to go into labor. I've been going to the chiro but I might make another appt tomorrow just because I am so miserable. It is really hard to start to entertain crazy thoughts. I start to worry and lose faith in my body that I won't be able to go into labor naturally on my own.
Don't you buy into that rubbish mrs. Your body is perfect and it will do what it knows how to do. It doesn't need help to sneeze or to poo or to make wee. Why would it need help to go into labour? It is just that labour rarely happens at the timing of other people, that we have created a culture that loves to control the onset of labour. Just relax and do the things that nurture your body and you and it will do it all by itself. If part of that means more privacy and turning off your phone, then so be it. You are gonna do a great job.
It's the same pool I had for DD2. Kinda feels right. We found a small hole that we've patched, but otherwise it's all good to go.
Got the chance for some me time this weekend (hair cut, pedicure and massage). I'm feeling quite clucky now, but it still feels a little unreal that the birth is only a week or so away. How did that happen?
Waiting with you ladies! Can't wait to hear about the new little people arriving. Those last days can be so long and exhausting - hang in there! It truly won't last forever. You can do it!

Well, milk has changed and is watery (not sure if this happened today or sometime recently, but I just noticed it). Bowel movements looser, appetite decreased. I think baby will be here in a week.
I like Ina May's FB page, in fact, look at her 'liked' pages and you'll start to find a whole heap that are good to follow.
Here's a distraction for you... has anyone read 50 Shades of Grey? No? Okay, wise move. But anyway, I just read it and the birth scene!!! **** the birth scene! "Emergency" c-sect after 15 hours of labor because yanno, you've been doing this for 15 HOURS and that baby needs to come out and oh, actually baby is in distress so now we can do a c-sect? "Finally" mutters the OBGYN (I kid you not- I don't make this stuff up). Argh! Like the rest of the book wasn't woeful enough.
