Meow: I'm over 20 weeks and barely feeling anything . Actually, the day after I complained in our group of not feeling anything, I had lots of wriggles that day... then nothing. It will happen in time. I'm the same as you - have never felt movement much before 20 weeks. My theory is that I don't have a very sensitive uterus haha!
I quite like our belly buddy group too, but it is a shame that they always seem to move to FB these days. It seems to be the trend... I'm just rolling with it, cause I do love having that support/place to share endless belly pics, etc. And it is so nice to have a homebirthing/like minded mumma in the group - last time I was the only one doing things differently. My last birth wasn't a home birth, it was at an independent birth centre... it is essentially still a home birth, just not in your own home . I haven't mentioned to many people that I'm planning a home birth yet... it would freak most people I know out!
Bella: That must be tough with your DD waking overnight. My DD (who is almost 3) has just started sleeping through in the past few weeks - talk about good timing! I hope your DD starts sleeping for you again soon!
Nawww, newborn snuggles. It's a wonderful reminder that all the discomfort, etc is worth it. I can't wait to smell my bubba's head .
Looking forward to hearing more about your mother blessing!
This third pregnancy thing is weird for me... I feel really disconnected from the whole thing. Firstly I was so sick, all I could do was survive the day. Now I'm feeling better, but my other two kidlets keep me so busy I just don't have time to think about being pregnant, let alone the birth!
I have started pregnancy yoga (a class called Sacred Birth actually), and that has been good. Once a week I have a small window of time where I can just be in the moment with my belly bubba. The visualisation the instructor uses is really powerful, and I have found myself with tears a few times (which is a big deal for me, I'm not a cryer). So that is something.
But yeah, the birth. I've barely thought about it. I know I want a home birth, but that is as far as I've gotten. I did read Arcadia's birth story yesterday though, and that started getting me excited... I might aim to read lots of home birth stories, so if you have any you want to throw my way, go for it .
