I am going through the same birth centre with an independent midwife - so I will also be having a 'house birth' . I had an emergency c/s last time going through the public hospital, and I was not really feeling the support for a VBAC this time, so the birth centre is a wonderful option to have. If all goes well this time, I want a 'proper' home birth the next time.
Looking forward to talking to you all .
Sorry haven't been in here yet just busy and running on no sleep- Malaila has got her days and nights confused lol. And am having difficulty napping when she is during the day!
Thanks for all your congratulations!
Am so happy to be a mummy! Love every minute even the sleepless nights cos it's totally worth it (although I hope I get more sleep soon). Am so happy I got to have my home birth it truely was amazing to have her in my own home! I will get around to writing a birth story when I get the time. The only trouble I had was at the end when her head was stuck in the same position for ages and I was pushing for about 2hrs! I ended up having to get out of the birth pool and try different positions- but we got there in the end, I was rather exhausted though! My peri was intact, which suprised the midwives they thought for sure I would have teared. Dh was an awesome birth support and without him it would have been very tough.Totally in love with her and loving being a mummy!
