I would love a home birth for number 3 but need to convince DH first.

I have had two wonderful births in a public hospital (small one, very pro bf, pro natural) and both natural, no intervention.

First one was posterior labour and 2nd one was shoulder dystocia 10lb 6oz !!!! No complications, needed help coming out, mw's hands lol

Apparently there is the chance of another shoulder dystocia birth if I have had one..... that makes me think would home birth be ok????? Anyone?

Thinking of you, Chocorama and Em! Hoping you've got your babies in your arms soon.

Shanti - I think different areas have different policies on shoulder dystocia. You'd have to check around with the midwives near you and see what they say. There is a slightly increased chance that you'll have another dystocia, but I don't think that necessarily needs to rule out a homebirth for you. Hopefully you can find someone to work with you!

All is well here - I'm feeling great, and Anna is being very easy on us so far. Lots to be thankful for.
