    Nope. I told a couple of close people, and the ILs kept hounding and we couldn't lie any more, but otherwise, kept it on the hush.

    Only our Mum as we were staying at her house, but I was induced on a Sunday night at 7pm.......so when my sister & her DH came by Mum's house to catch up on Sunday arvo & we said we had to go they were onto us right away LOL. But otherwise no.

    Only my mum and dad , best friend and DH mum knew when was being IOL with DS1 and for cs date for DS2 only my parents and best friend knew.

    I wanted to send surprise sms out not have people waiting wondering.

    I'm not being induced (well, I don't plan to be... only 39wks+5 at the moment) but if I was, I certainly wouldn't tell anyone. Only DH would know and the person who was going to mind DD would know.

    To me, it's just like going into spontaneous labour, you just want to tell everyone ONCE the baby has arrived!

    This time I had a planned c/s not an induction but I was like you and wanted to keep it a secret. We just kept telling people it was 'the beginning of May' or 'in a week or two' if they asked when, if they kept asking I just told them straight out that we wanted to keep it a surprise. Everyone was very understanding about it, I think they like getting that surprise text/message almost as much as we like sending it.
