Sometimes I swear they book the inductions to give them the day off. So few people ever make it to them. I remember with Lyta the MW said "We are going to book you in for induction - 40+10, so thats the 24th of December"... to which I happily replied "Thats nice, dear - but I won't be there". I had Lyta on the 17th, lol. Even if I didn't, she was kidding herself if she thought I would come in on xmas eve to be induced!

Angie was 40+14 and her placenta, while it did look 'jellied', still worked fine. With Harry they were just monitoring the flow of blood through the cord and his brain on weekly ultrasound. Basically, there were not going to get within cooee of him unless the sonographer cussed loudly.

Just say No, but happy for non invasive monitoring, thanks.
