Another Jalna lover here too, sorry! It comes in small, med and large tubs too. Q Yoghurt Co., or Gippsland is fab too, but a bit high in sugar for DS. DS likes natural yoghurt, don't even have to add fruit (but DH and I do, lol!). It's SOO hard to get something that isn't 'artificially sweetened', full fat but low sugar. I was thinking of trying to make our own too... you may have inspired me!

We went with the B D Paris Creek brand - the fruit flavoured ones 'cause he didn't like the plain one. It's another pot set style of yoghurt and they do some non low fat yoghurts (ie full fat ones)

I think the Qld Yoghurt Co one has honey in it (that's why its so yum!) so no good for little bubs. I give my boys Farmer's Union greek yoghurt, Jalna when its on special - the 4.5 yo still likes it plain, doesn't like flavoured yoghurt at all.

Another Jalna user here too. DD and I both love the vanilla. I've never been a big yoghurt fan, but I love this brand.

Does anyone else notice how rare it is to find full fat commercial yoghurt? So much of it is 'low fat' or 'diet'. DH was checking the labels and noticed that they had aspartame in them too instead of sugar.
It's a pain in the rear to find full cream yoghurt here unless it's the "kid's yoghurt" Which is full of crap and sugar. Lately I have been naughty and gotten Ski yoghurt because everything non artificially sweetened has been sold out. I try and get Mundella brand (WA's version of Jalna) but the only full-cream pot set I can usually find was used by the day before. Local woolies is a tad slack restocking. Pixie much prefers the Mundella one though ecause she's not a sweet tooth

Could you make it with oat milk? That's what we drink here, if not that I might give it a go with goat milk.

Hi Snowy love Good to see you hon I didn't know QYC it had honey in it? Goes to show how slack I've been looking at the ingredients! It's so yummy that I just keep buying it and dh is lucky to get any every week hehehhe.

I haven't started giving DS yogurt yet, what age did you girls start offering it to your bubs?

JLeigh if I do make some you can come and taste it to see what you think? Mind you if I'm happy with the Jalna greek style or the biodynamic ones I may not make it for a while.

That's a good idea, we've not tried oat milk yet.

DS had yoghurt from about 7 months.

I still stand in the yoghurt section every week looking for something where the ingredients list doesn't take up half the pack...

Cherished - we could have a yoghurt-making party!

Well today I bought the Jalna biodynamic yoghurt and since then have decided to only give it to DS in a couple more weeks, so it looks like dh and i will be eating it! Luckily we do eat plenty of natural yoghurt too. I'm still liking the idea of making my own yoghurt, it's bound to be cheaper? and healthier.

JLeigh you are more then welcome to come over and make it with me in fact I haven't heard back from you about visiting this week, hope you can still make it.

hmmmm now I'm wondering if you can get really creative and add fruits to it while you are making it or if you just make it natural and then add fruits etc afterwards?

You should make it first, then add fruit.

Soooooo, 7 months is okay to give yoghurt??? I love the Aussie Farmers Strawberry one but it is 99% fat free. Thick and creamy though! They do have other ones so if 7 months is okay, I might buy a tub every now and then!

I have tried (in the past) the Jalna Honey one and I LOVED it!

To make your own yoghurt, is it always a big batch? I am really the only one that eats it.

7mths is okay to give youghurt - I think Ds was having it around then. (just remember not to give the honey ones until after 12mths)

Can't help on the making your own, as I haven't done it.

Vixstar I haven't seen you around in aaaaages! how are you going? I ended up deciding not to give DS yoghurt intil he' over 8 months - maybe even closer to 9 months. I'm sure it is fine but I looked up the health book that the hospital gave us and it says to introduce dairy at 9 months and the wholesome baby food website that I am refering to a lot say 8 months i think?? Now I can't remember! Anyway I'm going to leave it a bit longer
