Hi Kate, feel free to dump as much as you want to, real life conversations are rarely deep enough and the Internet is often the only place you can really let your emotions out. To be honest I feel like I'm about to jump off a cliff, not knowing if there is a parachute in my backpack to help me. It's not really something I can discuss with my hub, I don't think he understands. I've got no idea how the drugs will affect me, how the stress of waiting will affect me, how he ultimate disappointment will affect us. It's uncharted waters for me, as it is for all first time ivfers I'm sure. I'm a planner, a list maker, so I'm very much out of my comfort zone.
Are they going to change your drugs for the next round?
Have you got anything planned for the next few weeks to take your mind off it?
I am also a planner, list maker and I'm properly the most impatient person in the world. My husband laughs cause I hate surprises so much and this is just one big guessing game! The drugs: I'm pretty level headed and I don't get emotional or moody during my periods etc, so it was pretty funny when I came to work and I was the first person in the office (and I usually am) and I went to the toilet and cried. I rang my DH and he was like why are you crying and I. Like, I'm the only one in the office and I'm alone weirdo! The crying is something I am really not used to, I just do it at the drop of a hat! It's pretty funny though,at least you know the hormones are working! The waiting: when you get your drugs it's all systems go, cause as of day one everything is about planning, so if your like me you will enjoy the routine, so it's planning blood tests and ultrasounds and injections and pills etc, it's making sure work will let you rock up later so you can have your morning us and bt, it's making sure work will let you take a day (or two like me) off to have your eggs collected. It's pretty much all systems go! And hopefully, you get fertilized eggs and an ET and it will still be routine and scheduling. It just sucks if you don't cause then you have to wait for a pointless period and then the next one. Have a feeling that the diss appointment won't be coming your way....I have never met you and we have texted like twice but I don't know I guess I'm just fingers, toes, arms everything crossed for you that it is a slam dunk first time!
