As for after epu, I presume it still rises. Fs commented today they need our overies to keep pumping out the hormones to help et stick.
Try not to worrie too much.

Fertilisation update....
Out of the 17 eggs, 11 were mature enough for sperm injection, out of that 11 we have 9 embies that fertalised normally!!!!
I'm so happy and can now enjoy myself in Sydney. Next update is sat.
Today I feel quite well and am out and about. Went shopping at bondi junction. Now I'm ready for a nanna nap.

Hey jaki that is great 9 is a good number i am surprised you are up and about how did your EPU go was it painful did you get sick from the sedative i have a sensitivity to anesthetic i throw up for hours afterwards so i am not looking forward to it even the anti nausea medications dont work anyway i have my last BT and U/S tomorrow then they let me know ny trigger day and time hopfully sat night and EPU monday morning i will let you know anyway enjoy sydney i will be down there hopfully monday morning for EPU if i wasnt going to be sick afterwards i say we could meet up for u cuppa (dacafe) but i am expecting to have my head in a bucket all the way home LOL,
Umm, you will be in pain but the only drugs you should have is a wee bit of pethadine. Unless your going under. The epu doesn't hurt but it feels uncomfortable. And embaressing but our fs makes you feel right at home. And the nurse & scientist in the room are awesome too. The worst part is the worried look on hubbys face.
I may be monday too I'm hoping for my et!!

Hey jaki i am alergic to pethadine so that is out for me and i had my BT and U/S today and it was great news i now have 18 follies all good size they said 12 of them are between 17mm and 22mm and the others are 14mm to 16mm so they want me to still do one more puregon injection and orgalutran injection tomorrow to try and get those last few a bit bigger then i have to be in sydney at 7am tomorrow morning for BT and U/S as they are not open on saturdays up here so have to go to them then those results will tell me if i trigger saturday night or sunday night the FS said i have a lovely pair of ovaries full of good follicles and my E2 is level is 9000 so it is perfect at the moment i am starting to get excited that this just might work out ok.

I have had two IUIs and I am having my 4th transfer Monday. I am feeling pessimistic and wanted to hear some happy stories.

Not at all shelbee. We here in this thread are all doing pgd Ivf but we won't descriminate. This seem to be going well for us at the moment. I'm hopeing for my transfer Monday too.
Ferrals that's a bugger about the pethadine, I am a fan. So are you going right under or using another pain killer and doing it awake? Congrats on the follies!! Good work!!

I think I was feeling too good yesterday and overdid it, I paid for it today tho. Never made it to the zoo. The main problem I've had is constipation but am happy to report things are starting to work again. TMI

Update my E2 is 16,000:jawdrop::jawdrop::jawdrop:so they are worried about OHSS so i have to completely rest and drink heaps of fluid i have to have the next week off work and do no activity if i want to get to embryo transfer otherwise it will be a freeze all cycle and i will have to do a frozen transfer at a later date i have 24 follicles 11 of those are between 25mm and 17mm so they hope to get 11 mature eggs anyway i am now trying to not panic and keep calm i trigger at 1am tonight and epu on monday.
OMG how did it rise from 9000 to 16000 so fast???!!!
Take it easy ferrals, make sure hubby is being a good nurse!

I know!!!! i cant see me getting to transfer the FS has told me to inject half the amount of the trigger injection as that can add to the OHSS so i am expecting to do EPU and they will freeze them which is not real good we really needed to do it this year we cant afford to much next year so it looks like my journey is almost over without the TWW.

I'm freaking out now cause i read on another thread a lady had 9 good embies on day 3. And nothing on day 5. That's pretty much what happened to me last time. Only it was 3 embies. I don't think I could handle that again.

Jaki- you will be fine you are young those embies of yours will be healthy and strong.
AFM-i am quietly in a panic i read up on doctors giving instructions for half the dose of the trigger injection to be taken and is it usually when people are at risk of OHSS and they plan on a freeze all cycle so i think i am out of the running.
ahh ferrals please dont panic cause you'll make it worse. Dont worrie about the freeze cycle, its still so much better than a cancelled cycle. You got the bulk in before the new year and the FET wont be anywhere near as exy as a freash cycle.
The most important thing is to concentrate on your own health cause trust me overstimming is the most horrid feeling, i honestly wanted to die when i went thru it. Just trust the fs and look after yourself. Make those embies and keep them safe till you are ready. Plus dont forget you still may not overstim!!!

Hey jaki i have read a few post where women had E2 of 18000 and 20000 and diddn't overstim they say being 35 or over and having 12 eggs or less collected reduces the risk of OHSS so lets just hope my E2 is high and it does not effect me i will be on level 4 at 12:30 but if you are there later look for the lady with her head in a spew bag that will be me.

Ferrals - the expensive parts of IVF are getting the eggs and doing the PGD - both of these have to be done before freezing. Implanting a frostie is pretty quick, easy and (realatively) cheap - so I wouldn't give up yet!
No transfer for me today. We have 3 blasties at grade 2. They need to be grade 1 for biopsy. I can't stop crying and I don't know if it's cause I have a reason or cause of the hormones. I don't undestand most of what they tell me and they are so neautral about it I have been given no hope.
I have spoken to them about doing a straight transfer (untested) but they just make me feel like I'm a bad person for being willing to take the 25% chance of having a baby with a disease. I'm just so over it all.
OMG I have had the worst day Eva!!! Looooooong story. Buy at the end of the horrid day the pgd nurse rang and said I have 2 blasties ready for biopsy!!!!!
FX they are clear of the gene!

Sh#t Jaki what so you dont get to transfer at all oh my god i don't know what to say i am so sorry i am devastasted for you.
I had my EPU we got 8 eggs the FS said i am not at risk for OHSS now she is not worried as my ovaries are perfect size and she thinks it was because i had a few really big follicles that pushed my E2 up so she has even put me on etrogen support tablets as she is worried my E2 will drop to much (go figure :dunno:) anyway so now we wait for the fertilisation report and pray they make it all the way.

My et should go ahead tomoro. The biopsies were being don't this arvo but the nurses would have gone home before they could phone thru results.
I don't think I'll sleep tonight. Altho I am very tuckered out from all the crying!

Also a 3rd embie was ready for biopsy this morning. Results from that one will be late this arvo.
ET should be around 2pm if I have a good one!

And it's a boy!! The scientist didn't even ask if I wanted to know! Cheeky.
So end result of pgd was- 1 effected male. 1 uneffected male & 1 carrier female. We are freezing that one.
I'm excited but feel really weird! You'll know the feeling soon ferrals!
Motherhood- hurry up and come back to fill us on on your trip!!! And of course your results, I'm still thinking of you.

Oh my god jaki do they tell you the sex i thought they diddnt tell you that i asked and they said they dont they test for the gene fault and tell you if its effected or not anyway way to go congratz you made it i am 4 days behind you i hope i make it.
Well I knew the scientists would know because of the gene they are looking for the have to look at sex, but I didn't think they'd tell me! It was such a shock.

Not due for update until thursday arvo but i will definately let you know i am still terrified that somthing will go wrong i am so use to having bad luck i dont dare get excited and hopeful.

Hey jaki did Dr L put you on crinone gel and E2 support tablets if so how much and how many times a day i'm on 3 tablets a day and 2 lots of gel a day.
Yup, just the same. I'm to keep the same treatment until pg test. It's so much better than the pregnyl injection!
I also showed her my big circle yellow bruise thing I got again and she still says she has never come accross it before. So between the two of us we decided that I'm simply a freak. Lol

I had a shocking night sleep dreaming about embryos not making it ect the wait is horrible i hope that at least 4 will be doing good by tomorrow arvo:crossfingers:
Apparently the average they expect to make it to PGD is 50% of the embies. I was below average they tell me.
