Onja I'm so sorry this has happened to you. The thought of you wandering the city is heartbreaking. I knew some embies didn't thaw well but I've never been told they can not survive the freezing process. I feel so bad for you I don't know what to say.
The one thing I have come to realise from my biopsy results is how easily I could have had a baby with a disease if it wernt for the pgd. Until yesterday there was still apart of me that thought it wouldn't happen to me. But if we'd put in the number 1 embie untested like I wanted, it would have been the effected one. I almost feel blessed that my hubby has challanged sperm and that this technogy is available to us.
Onja sorry to be personal but can I also ask why you transfer I embie at a time. I was told once I'm over 30 I could choose to transfer 2. Is this a personal choice for you or a recomendation?

If we are lucky enough to have two healthy embryos we will have both TF as i am 35 if we have any spare then we will freeze them i would rather have fresh TF than frozen i have heard a lot do not survive the process but i have to get to that stage first i still dont feel it will happen for us i have already decided on what to do if we dont get to TF the money will go towards a honeymoon for DH and I.
Hey ferrals, for your 3-day report. I hate that time, waiting each day to hear progress. I used to ring my clinic for daily reports even though probably not supposed to. I saw a different FS for a second opinion (all in the same broader fertility clinic) and he gave me the number of the chief scientist. I think I will call this time around
Ferrals you had %100 fertility!!! You and your hubby have something special going on there!!! I'm sure your little embies are plowing along at an unstoppable rate!!!

Well i was right to not get my hopes up they want them over 6 cells on day 3 we have
1)9 cells
2)8 cells
1)7 cells
2)5 cells
2)4 cells
the embroligist has said they are good to fair as they have some fragmentation so the last 4 wont make it and the first 4 need to have the energy to make it i am disapointed.
Ok just spoke to the head scientist he said our numbers are standard for day 3 of our 4 good embies they are grade 1 and 2 so he is happy he said of the 8 eggs he would expect us to have 4 good ones on day 3 so he told me not to worry and it is scarey but everything is going normally.
Well DH and I are back after our week long holiday in Fiji. Was absolutely fantastic and oh so relaxing am missing being by the pool today. Although, whilst we were away, it seems that the weather was hotter here in Sydney lol.

So, an update for you all. Well had our first BT last tues 17/11 which when they rang they told me that it showed some levels of hcg but not enough to make it official (was 27) they also said that FS was happy with that result. So after last Tues, as expected, was asked to come back when we returned from holidays for a repeat BT which was today. So went in bright and early this morning. Just had the call and they have told me that I need to go in again on Monday to make sure my levels are doubling appropriately. Today my level was at 537. The nurse commented that all levels were going nicely but when I asked when would we know "officially" because family are asking about the results, she said we have to wait till Monday!!!!! So frustrating in a way.
Oh also, I couldnt help myself whilst we were away so I snuck into my luggage some HPT's The Nurse last Tues told me that I was due for AF last Thursday so whilst we were away we did 2 POAS. One last Fri which was positive but faint and then another on Tues just gone which was positive again but darker and came up quicker. To be honest, I also did another this morning which again came up strong and fast.
So were still kind of waiting. We have agreed together that we dont want to say anything to family yet until IVF sign off on it "officially". FX still and plenty of too.
Thanks to all for the well wishes tomorrow is D-DAY we find out if any of my 4 embryos have made it to blastocyst stage and if they are of good enough grade to withstand the testing i have decided to stay away from the computer until i have an answer either way as this is nerve racking stuff and i need to keep busy with other things i will say if my embies are no good for transfer i know it is not the end of the road as we are fertile we can still get pregnant the natural way and hope we get lucky with an uneffected baby so wish me luck cross all your fingers and toes and pray i have some good news over the weekend.

I know i said i wasnt going to post until i had an answer but i just got the devastating news we have 2 mini blasts grade 3 and one blast grade 2 the grade 3s wont be good enough to do the pgd testing and the other one needs to be hatching to test so the will have another look in the morning but it looks like we are not getting to transfer.
Murrycod-all our hope rests on this one blast making it through the night and hatching and has to still be a grade 2 or higher to do the pgd testing and then it needs to not have the effected gene the scientist did not sound hopeful and the pgd nurse basicly said i'm sorry it diddnt work out for you.
