and yes, we are a tough lot, and the hospital visits are hard!
I think i would have found it easier if my friend, who knows my situation (and we've talked about it a fair bit before) had said something like "thanks for coming, I know it can't be easy for you"...maybe I am expecting too much there though, I dont know. I seem to have lost perspective on what is reasonable to expect of people.
