I have my appointment at Sharkeys tomorrow, and I am a little hesitant. I don't really want to go, but mum, DH and my sister are pushing me. I am so over the IVF /TTC scenario, that i have almost talked myself into, "i think i will be ok without kids" oooooooooohhhhhh don't know what to do... head in the sand trick (emu syndrome) maybe if i ignore my infertility it might go away!!!!
Very much not interested..... I guess i am so sick of dissappointment... and the 'roller coaster'..... sounds rediculous and pathetic i know but I think i am just trying to protect myself from failure....
I feel selfish in a way as many of you ladies have suffered BFN IVF cycles and here I am only undergoing the one, i think it might because I have to have a further lap/hyst and they have found the really weird endo in there... very much over the operations, the one i am having in feb will be number 3 in six months... so yeah i guess i am entitled to feel this way????
Ok enough whinging.. I am going to eat something... mmmm christmas chocolates.....
Oh Leis, it is so NORMAL to feel that way. Don't you worry. These feelings that you get when you've experienced infertility can be very difficult to shake off, even when you do get that BFP. And I think that with so many operations and procedures, you can start to feel a little like you've been through the wars.
Did you go to Sharkey's in the end? How was it? I did natural fertility management when I just started out (this is before I realised I had endo). I found some of the little dietary adjustments to be really good and the tonic I received did help with my periods immensely.

<sticking my head in> I have been too depressed of my BFN and let my hair down on xmas, havent had drink in 3 years and sure as hell made up for it.... I needed it... In new year (new years eve will be big one too) decided I will go on health kick and may start IVF in Feb/March.

My Dr has given us four more months of TTC naturally before he does an intervention and we consider our options for AC.
We have unexplained infertility, no obvious medical reason for not getting pregnant. We had a m/c this month at 7w2d that was not caused by genetic defects so thats not an issue either.
Im wondering if we should give clomid or something a shot even though I ovulate every month? Its more getting the sperm and egg to fertilise thats the issue. We have been TTC for 18+ months and after the m.c are at our wits end I couldnt go another 18 months of nothing!
So any advice on what to try would be good as we need to cover our bases money wise.

Good luck with TTC, its hard not to feel the pressure when doctors give you a time line, esp when a MC has happened it tends to throw you around for awhile ( emotionally and cycles)
As for the clomid, my understanding is that it will produce follicles to release and if you are already O'ing it will produce more than one follicle giving reason to a multiple pregnancy. My cousin did this and ended up with triplets. A healthy pregnancy is the most important thing to you and bubs. I wish you all the best and hope that nature will work before science needs to interfere!

You said it is more the fact of getting the sperm and egg to fertilise??? Maybe ICSI would be a better option if this is the main reason. ICSI is when you have an IVF cycle and they inject the sperm into the egg instead of letting them fertilise naturally. It is a tricky situation honey and I understand how you are so frustrated. My DH and I have been through one IVF cyle with a negative outcome and it was heeart breaking considering we didn't have anything left in the freezer for another cycle. We are currently having a break now. I have since been diagnosed with severe endometriosis so until they remove that in Feb it is all on hold.
Hi guys, had a strange one today.
I had BT & u/s done as I still, after 9 weeks, have not had AF since my m/cs. Blue, I'm almost catching up to your ticker, lol!
Bloods are all over the place and u/s seems to show that nothing is happening, maybe that I got to about CD 4 or 5 and that's where it stopped!
Anyway, I'm now on BCP and hope to get AF after a packet (not the sugar ones). Hopefully it will kickstart my hormones and get something happening.
I haven't had BCP for 8 years, seems a bit strange but I need AF to start cycleing again.
Anna, are you seeing your GP or are you with a fertility clinic?
Just curious which one you are at, I am also from WA
Also, have you done any cycle tracking, my cycles are not 'stock standard' ones and found out that I 'O' later in my cycles, so it could be handy to have that done as well, just to start covering all bases.

I just have a quick question. I am down regging on Synarel twice daily & AF has arrived today. Does anyone else experience a really painful/heavier AF on Synarel? Sorry if TMI but usually things are light till Day 2 but this is by FAR the worst I have ever been :shock:
Can I still take Naprogesic?
Tam - whoah, you are catching up to the ticker! Hope that the bcp sets you straight. Seems strange to take the bcp when ttc doesn't it.
Sorry Skye, can't really help you about the synarel AF. Mine are usually a bit heavy to start with and then kinda taper off. Not sure about the naprogesic either - not much help am I!!

Hi Anna - sorry to read about your m/c. As Lies mentioned, ICSI may be an option. They might try IUI first tho.

Skye- I dont know about naprogesic but when I am on Synarel all my doctor told me I could take was Panadol, panadine or if I really have to Panadine forte. The synarel gives me bad headaches for the first week, then I am ok.
I hope this has been some help.
Tam - Im seeing an OBGYN who specialises in fert treatment in West Perth! Great guy, our Dr in Sydney wanted us to wait 4 years before worrying about problems because we're young Cant tell you how sick I am of hearing that. If Im 'so young' why has it taken so long to get pregnant, when everything appears normal and healthy?
Ive been temping and cycle tracking for 8 months or so, I know I ovulate around the same time each cycle as Ive had a few CD21's done. My temps are pretty regular each cycle too. My hormones are fine, no progest problems, my uterus is fantastic (dr's words), Dh's sperm are fine.
I just cant even imagine having to do IVF or anything like that, I cringe when I think of the cost involved, we have private health that covers most of it but its still alot to take in. It seems redundant to be doing ART when there is nothing physically wrong with us? I just hope we do it naturally (no offense meant to anyone here) seeing as we managed it last month [-o<

Anna I am only young as well, I am lucky to have a great OB/GYN who hasn't worried about my age & has addressed all of my issues with TTC. I really hope you find a supportive Dr over in Perth.
