    af pains???

    Hey

i just got af after having iui done and just wondering wether the pessaries that i was on would make af pains worse??

just i am in some shocking pain, i cant stand up straight, i am bearly walking and i am hunched over, the pain is in the front of my belly and is going straight through to my back, plus the top of my legs are bl**dy killing me, i usually have pretty bad period pains but never to this extent, i took some penadine forte about 3hrs ago it helped alot but its only been 3 hrs and all the pain is coming straight back again

is this because of the pessaries why my period pain is this bad??

Pessaries can cause cramps to be worse than normal, but only you can tell if this is beyond reasonable pain. If you think it is, I would try to get in and see a GP if I were you.

    thanks heaps for that sushee

if this pain keeps up and is still like this tomorrow, might go to the hospital
**tmi** my af is really heavy and lots of clots
normally they are heavy with a clot here and there but never like this

but anyway we will see what the pain is like tomorrow, just got to make it through tonight, surely its gotta get better soon

    thanks again

The pessaries would have ensured your endometrium was quite thick, so it's not unusual to get a heavier period than normal after using them. But if you're in a lot of pain (and it sounds like you are) go down and get it checked. The worse thing that can happen is that they find it's nothing and you feel a little silly. But at least you're not taking chances if something really is wrong.
