Hi Mel.
Welcome to BB!
My situation is kinda similar to yours, in a way, except that DH (dear husband) has male unexplained infertility. I am fine. I don't have any kids from a previous relationship though. DH did try to have children without success in his previous marriage, although his partner was over 40 when they were trying, so they let it go in the end, and didn't investigate any issues at the time.
I never thought I would ever have problems falling pregnant, but as couple you deal with any fertility problems that come up as exactly that - a couple - I'm sure you know
I have been through one ICSI cycle in November which was unsuccessful, but I am straight into the next one only one day after getting my negative blood test result (although I knew it was unsuccessful a few days before that). I'm trying to view it as though I was trying naturally to get pregnant without infertility issues - that conceiving naturally may not happen in the first cycle you try! It's a roll of the dice once you have successful fertilisation. The same applies once you get over the big hurdle of successful fertilisation in AC. So we're looking forward and will continue to keep trying - as my FS (Fertility Specialist) put it today "we just have to keep trying until we get the right embryo that wants to stick inside you!"
I wish you all the best and you should definitely come and hang out in the LTTTC & AC thread here where there's heaps of support and lots of people who are going through AC in different forms who have lots of experience, heaps of wisdom and who offers tonnes of support for each other.
Good luck to you and have a wonderful Christmas! Look forward to hearing how things are going for you in the new year - 2008 is going to be our year!
Miss C
