Hi Ladies,

I am 43 and preg with my first. DH and I have been really ttc for 5+ years (although we have never used any form of contraception in 18 years) and my right tube is blocked. A week after we registered to start IVF I discovered that I was pregnant. It is all very new (only 7wks) and I think I am still in shock, in fact I think I am terrified if the truth be told. Had a couple of scares with some bleeding and so had US to check if all was ok and saw 8mm embie with a heart beat 109bpm. I still can't quite believe it. What's more they tell me that the egg came from my right ovary which is amazing seeing that tube is (was?) blocked! I don't have many people to talk to about this, and certainly no one even close to my age bracket so I hope you don't mind me joining in this thread.
