HI Jo,
My family has alot of endo, my second eldest sister was diagnosed with it at 18 whilst she was in the UK no one in Australia had picked it up she had had it for years prior to that she rushed back to australia and after 3operations and half her bowel removed (no bag thank god) she was told she would never have children then low and behold 3months later she was pregnant and has a beautiful 25yr old daughter but unfortunately they now think it is heridity and her daughter has had 6operations in 5years! Unfortunatley she is one of the worst cases they have ever come across and she has a gene they have discovered that just keeps producing endo - they say she will post probably not fall pregnant naturally and her best chance now will be IVF, she doesn't even want children yet but is being pressured into it by doctors and her mother, if feel for her as she is not ready for kids yet but does want them one day- she is living with a nice young man but they haven't even thought of marriage yet. Endo is such a horrible thing, i hope to all hope that your endo has not returned, they do say that after having kids it most likely does not return however my sister at the age of 48 got horrible pains again a few months ago and has just undergone another operation - unbelievable you think that after all these years of her being endo free why would it come back 20odd years later? I say go for the lap you can't waste time - just make sure no more endo - i know its another month older but at least if you go down the lap road you can cross all the "t's" and dod all lthe "i's" and have peace of mind with your endo. Anyway its really up to you Jo - but i say go for it, and i did read a thread before about laps and alot of women fall preg after laps. Anyway Jo good luck with your decision - i know its a big one - just go with what you feel if right. I pray every night for all of us (and im not even religous!)
I want us all the have BFP that would be the best lotto present of all.
